Q & A

Q.  What type of student-athletes should attend?

A:  If you are between the ages of 9 and 18 and are interested in learning and progressing from the basic fundamentals through the advanced techniques, we are the right Football Academy for you.  We adhere to all National Federation of High School regulations but we strongly encourage you to check with your coach if there is any questions about your eligibility in your area.

Q.  Why is your camp so much less expensive than others?  Are the other camps more expensive because they are better?

A:  No they are not better!  We want to have the most enjoyable camps and feel that we do not need to overcharge the student athlete or their family to do this.  Our price is set to allow as many quality students as possible to take advantage of AO’s programs.

Q.  Does attending AO help players with their college careers?

A:  As football coaches that have gone through the system, we feel we are uniquely positioned to help student athletes reach their full potential.  Being a student at AO will allow the opportunity to be exposed to college coaches at all divisions.

Q.  How do I register for a session?

A:  The easiest way is to register online. When you register online you will be able to choose whether you want to register and pay online or register and pay by check. When you register online you will be emailed a confirmation email which will have this waiver form attached (You can also download it by clicking on the link). If you prefer to fill out a paper registration form and mail it with your check, you will need to download this paper registration form. If you have any questions you can call us at 971-225-0108 or send us a quick message.

Q:  What is the ratio of teachers to students in the group sessions?

A:  The ratio of students to staff is 10:1, or better.  With individual attention as required.

Q:  What do I need to bring to a session?

A:  You need to bring the following

  •  A completed waiver form, filled out by your parents or guardian. (1 time only)
  •  A Gym Bag
  •  A football from your team’s level, marked with your name
  •  Cleats and gym type shoes (no running shoes)
  •  Shorts and a T-shirt or weather suitable training apparel
  •  Workout towel
  •  Notebook and #2 pencil
  •  And, the passion to improve!

Q:  What is the “Skills Development” class?

A:  The Off-Season Skills Development class is preseason preparation beginning with an individual evaluation.  The session focus is on skill development, skill adjustment, game-readiness, and focus on balancing all phases of a QB’s responsibilities.

Q:  What’s the minimum age requirement for participating in AIR ONE camps?

A:  Because of the intensity, pace, and volume of reps, AO camps are for athletes ages 9-18. Players are peer-grouped by age and skill level to maximize the benefits. As they advance, players will be evaluated for accelerated training.

Q:  Is there a Camp experience that’s suitable for players younger than 7th grade?

A:  The "Youth Group Sessions" is a special training curriculum created for youth quarterbacks, and other skill positions featuring dedicated youth-specific coaches.

Q:  What's the difference between "Group sessions" and "Quarterback and Skill Position camps"?

A:  Our "Group Sessions" are for QB's and Skill position players with classroom chalk-talks included. While the "Middle School Quarterback / High School Quarterback and Skill position camps" are for QB's, Skill positions, and Linemen. There are more coaches and drills that will also include classroom chalk-talks. The difference between the two camps is one has invited Linemen to attend the camp that have more coaches involved.

Q:  What’s the difference between "QB-only camps" and camps that include receivers and tight ends?

A:  Our QB-only camps emphasize skill development and control, more so than repetition or route throwing. Meanwhile, in AIR ONE sessions that include other positions, QBs gain a development opportunity different but equally valuable to sessions focused exclusively on QBs.

Q:  What are the benefits of attending multiple AIR ONE sessions?

A:  Development is a process. Repetitions are a must. AIR ONE’s sessions gives the QB's the ability to make adjustments under pressure. The more opportunities a player has for the “light bulb to go off,” the more his development will accelerate.

Q:  What is AIR ONE’s cancellation and refund policy?

A:  Because space is limited, cancellations deprive other players of the opportunity to attend AIR ONE Camps. If a cancellation is necessary, you must cancel at least 7 days prior to the beginning of the camp for which you are registered. Cancellations that occur 7 days in advance will allow you either

1) A credit towards a future session

2)  Or, you may transfer the tuition to another session or individual.
